Owing to continued growth and high demand for its services, the company is now seeking to recruit a suitable 
candidate to join Beijing office – Feng Neng Sgurr (SgurrEnergy).

Job description 
Involve in all technical work in the China office. This will include the due diligence and owner’s engineer 
services of solar projects.
1.Manage/develop solar project, providing engineering input from initial assessment through to technical and
 economic feasibility, due diligence, construction monitoring and acceptance 
(megawatt scale and distributed PV)
2.Conduct audits of PV module manufacturing facilities
3.Technical assessment of PV products and equipment
4.Review and prepare technical documents including specifications, reports, proposals, calculations and 
contracts
5.Site visits in China and internationally
6.Provide technical support to clients
7.Promote Wood’s solar services in a business development role
8.Build and training planning for the solar team
9.Other ad hoc activities as and when required

Essential criteria
1.A relevant engineering degree with specialisation in solar PV. 
2.Proven track record at PV project development, consultancy or design institute is a plus.
3.An expert knowledge of solar energy technology and projects.
4.The role is client facing and so must be a confident communicator and presentation skill.
5.Team leading and development capabilities.
6.Reliability and good organisational/project management skills.
7.An interest in renewable energy and sustainability.
8.Experience of working on multiple concurrent projects.
9.The ability to produce high quality technical reports in English and Chinese, to predefined deadlines.

Desirable criteria (if applicable)
1.Minimum 5 year or above experience of renewable energy industry in a consultancy environment working on
 megawatt scale solar PV plants.
2.Competence in understanding solar development, EPC and O&M contracts.
3.Previous experience in a solar PV module testing environment.
4.An understanding of the key technical and commercial aspects of solar projects in China and Asia.
5.Experience in PVSYST PV yield prediction software.

Foreign language skills.
Previous experience in managing a team of engineers

Additional information
Hours: 38.75 hours per week. Occasional weekends or evenings for travel or meetings

Holidays: Starting 14 days (increasing with length of service) and China public holidays 

Contract: Permanent after 3 month probationary period
